Helping a Goose Family

In Atlanta, Georgia a goose family took up residence at a boutique hotel rooftop
garden patio in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Mom and Dad Goose could fly but their five goslings were too young to fly and they could not get down to a nearby pond.
AWARE Wildlife Center decided to gather up the geese and safely remove them to the pond. Mother goose with her goslings were rounded up and brought to the pond and Father Goose was there waiting for his family. A fairytale ending.

A happy ending for the Geese.
They will be far better off at the pond. Three Cheers to AWARE Wildlife Center

@Ineeddentures you bet. The Father Goose got quite upset he thought they were wrecking his family and then he got the right idea and went to wait for Mother Goose and the goslings at the pond instead of getting under anyone's feet.

@RasmaSandra
Geese can be aggressive.
I recall a Goose on a farm attacking a 5 year old girl who clapped her hands and screeched at it.
She won't have done that Again

@wolfgirl569 I believe animals instinctively know when humans want to help them

I wonder why the geese chose to nest there?

@GardenGerty maybe as they say far from the crowd but they did not foresee the problems since the goslings could not fly

@RasmaSandra True... Not many people would go out of their way to help like that... and it's rare for geese to allow somebody to help like that, too.

What a sweet story! I haven't heard anything lately about the goose and probably babies on my daughter's roof.
