Well, Wasn't that A Party....

It was a good party that we went to yesterday.
We had so much fun together. Our son and his family were there. The children had alot of fun playing together.
As a guest, I enjoyed the delicious spread that we had to feast on. We all brought an appetizer. The hostess, who is from the Philippines, made her famous pork and pork and beef spring rolls. She also used their smoker and did some port kabobs. There was so many dishes, too many to describe. We came home with fully tummies and sore sides from laughter. That tells you it was a great party.

She loves to make food from her homeland.
Her husband will watch the children for a couple of hours and she will make 50 spring rolls from scratch.
She never wants to be disturbed when making them to go to the children, as she worries about the germs that she may carry back to the kitchen on her clothing. Kids are so full of germs.

Her food was delicious, honestly, out of this world.
Every dish was home made from scratch.
I think that the only 'store bought' item were the wood skewers that she had the pork on.
That and the ice cream cake, which was delicious.
She is from the Philippines and is preparing to make a big trip back home again with the 2 children.
Her husband has to work of course, and cannot join them.
We had such great fun.

@snowy22315 My friend made a sticky rice tray of that, I wonder if it was the same dish.
I didn't care for the consistency of it.
She had a corn type of custard yesterday, and I couldn't finish that as I didn't like it.

I think this was a party that I would have absolutely been at home at and I say that as someone who is not a party person these days

Yes, that was out west.
Tomorrow is our Federal Election, and the current Prime Minister, has halted his campaigning on this final and important day, out of respect, and to go out west, he is currently in the GTA of Ontario to inquire personally into the situation.
