Thanks to the actions of Holyoke Massachusetts resident Fernando Rivera Junior managed to attract the attention of Holyoke Police Officers to inform them a raccoon was trapped in a storm drain on Monday..
The Holyoke Police officers removed the storm drain cover with the head of the raccoon stuck on the storm drain.
Fernando assisted the police officers by using laundry detergent pods as lubricant on the raccoon's head which took about 20 minutes to free the raccoon from the storm drain.
An animal control officer came to take the raccoon to a safe place.

That Raccoon is so cute.
I am so glad that they got it out of the drain.
I see on YouTube some people keep raccoons as pets and they seem friendly and clever.
I would love to have one as a pet.

I am in agreement with you that many of us would love to have a raccoon as a pet.

@Deepizzaguy
Do you need a license to keep one or could you just go and get one?
We don't have them here as native species but I do know that there are so e in the UK

Nothing worse than being stuck in a narrow gap like that, and they were smart to use a lubricant to free the poor raccoon, so trapped.
