The day is half done. Not just in terms of the time, either. My brother’s surgery went fine. He was in his room, griping that he couldn’t find anything on TV, less than two hours after the surgery started. He’s normal. Now I’m having lunch at Chuy’s, so I’m normal, too. I’m going home and go back to bed. Hopefully I can beat the rain home. The weather app just told me there’s lightning 10 miles away. After I recover a little this afternoon I have to go to the funeral home for the visitation. Because my brother’s getting released from the hospital tomorrow I won’t be able to attend the services for my aunt. I made a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, my aunt’s favorite charity, in her memory. That’ll last a lot longer than any flowers would. Here’s one of the new shirts at Chuy’s. So that’s why people drink!! Thanks to everyone for the well-wishes, concerns, and prayers for my brother!!!
