For survival we all to hold a job, do our daily duties and in the evening we may feel that my day has been fruitful. But is that all ? Is there nothing more to do? As for me as a foster parent and a family man I have to take care of the children in a foster care home. That brings me food and shelter. It gives me satisfaction that I am so doing something good. Yet, I feel my day is not fruitful if I don't read and improve my knowledge. If I don't try to improve my personal skills I feel I have wasted my time. I must write something, create some music and enhance my medical knowledge. Then at the end of the day I say to myself the day was not totally lost. What do you do to get more satisfaction from life?

Being a foster parent is a great vocation. I understand that you'd like more but really, you are doing great work as it is.

Thank you Judy for appreciation. However, you know people measure a job with the salary it pays. This job doesn't give salary in proportion to the hours of work it demands

You are doing something really good so that should give you a lot of satisfaction. Don't beat yourself up, you do more than an awful lot of people and I bet the children you take care of love you an awful lot. You enhance other people's live, and knowing that your own life is enhanced. All the other stuff just doesn't compare to the difference you make in these children's life. None of your days are totally lost. Make more time.to read, improve your personal skills with the children, I mean you must already be a pretty good people person. Write, make music, etc etc But also, keep doing what you are doing and don't lose site of how others perceived you and how you got there.
