Waiting For The Phone To Ring

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's raining this morning but the forecast says the sun will make an appearance this afternoon.
I didn't get much sleep last night. Today is my daughter in laws surgery and they had to be at the hospital at 5am for her surgery which was scheduled for 7:30am.
So far I haven't heard anything so I'm sitting here on pins and needles waiting to hear from my son. Her surgery is a bit complicated as it involves her spine. This poor girl has been through so much health wise the past few years. I'm praying hard that this is the last surgery she'll ever need.
While I'm waiting for the phone to ring I'm having my coffee and distracting myself by seeing what's happening here.

@Marilynda1225 I said a very simple yet sincere prayer, and I find that He likes those better.
Poor Snowy is going through a difficult time, I just read her post about her Dad, it brought me down.
Tomorrow is my mother's 4th anniversary, and I am emotional this week.

@Juliaacv simple and sincere prayers are my favorite. I basically have an ongoing conversation with God all day long.
My DIL is going to have a pretty long recovery (at least 8 weeks) but she's doing ok this morning and the doctors are keeping her for an extra day or two because her blood pressure is high.

After a day of waiting and worrying my DIL is doing okay this morning but her bp is high so they won't discharge her until it's under control. At least another day or two my son says. Please keep those prayers coming

I'm trying desperately to just give it all to God but I can't help but worry. I just wish the dang phone would ring

The phone all came after what seemed like forever. Her surgery went well but longer than expected and then when they woke her up in recovery she was in so much pain they put her back under for a couple of hours. It was hours before my son was able to see her. Today she's doing better but her bp is high so they're keeping her in the hospital for another day or two.

@Marilynda1225 I'm glad the surgery went well. Of course her BP is high... She just went through surgery.
I would have just told them to let me go home. *shrug*

The surgery went well even though it was longer than expected. She's in a lot of pain but doing okay this morning. Her bp is high so they are keeping her for another day before discharging her.

Thinking of you and your daughter-in-law this morning. I can only imagine how hard it is to sit and wait, especially when it’s something as serious as spinal surgery. Hoping everything goes smoothly and that this really is the last time she has to go through this

Thank You! my DIL is doing better this morning but has to stay an extra day in the hospital because her blood pressure is high. although it's going to be a long recovery (about 8 weeks) I'm sure she's anxious to go home and be in her own surroundings.

I finally got the call but it was hours. The surgery took longer than expected and my poor son was so worried. She's dong okay this morning but her bp is high so they are keeping her for another day/night.

That cofee can keep you away from anxiety Hope what you are waitng for will give you relief and that your daughter in law has gone through her surgery well.
