I love a beautiful sunset I think they are so colorful and romantic. I feel really close to God when I sit and watch a sunset and just listen to the sounds of nature. I love to sit on my front porch with a glass of iced tea and watch as the sun sinks behind the mountain near our home. It is so peaceful and quiet. So please tell what your favorite is and if you have a picture please submit it also.

I would say that they both have their own distinct values, and would therefore not choose one over the other. Naturally, it depends on many factors such as scenic background and even the atmosphere at the time, but in either case there are some very attractive scenes generated.

Its more relaxing to see sunset, its the time to relax and reflect on the activities and the things that you have accomplish in a day, its also the best time to unwind and dispose the negativity that you absorb through out the course of the day.

Silvery Sky - A silvery sky.. clouds laced with silver sunlight. Beautiful.
I like both but I think if I had to choose, it would be sunset. My lounge window faces west and I can sit in there and watch the sun set, or I can sit in my garden, on the relaxer and watch. It's beautiful with the dark trees silhouetted against the setting sun. The sun rises behind the church, which is on a hill, to the east of me. I like to watch that too.

I prefer the sunset. I'm usually not up by sunrise anyway. I'm more of an evening person too. I can't see the sunset from my house because of all the trees.

Sunrise, it's less depressing because it's the start of a new day, instead of the end of one.

I believe both of these are to be long because both of them have their own significance in one's life. while the sunrise comes with freshness you can never ignore the mellowness of the sunset. I just love to watch both of these but unfortunately I usually get up late in the morning so I don't get to see the sunrise too often. as far as the sunset this concern allowed to watch its sitting on some isolated spot where nobody distracts me and I can fully take in the view
