United States Department of Agriculture Wildlife Officials set a trap to catch a two year old female bear who had a plastic jar on her head on Saturday August 2 in Cable Wisconsin by putting her to sleep for a short while so that the officials could remove the jar from her head safely.
The officials have no idea how long did the bear had the jar on her head. Wildlife officials believe that the bear was able to stay alive since the bear could drink water after her paws were able to create punctures in the jar so she could survive.
After the bear had the jar removed from her head, she went to eat berries in the wild.

I can relate to persons being careless leaving food inside jars for bears to eat and having the bear have a jar stuck on their heads.

So do I since animals do not deserve to be harmed that way.

She looks skinny. Poor thing. She's probably hungry and glad to be alive.

I had read about this bear. Glad to hear they were able to remove the jar.safely.
This happens with many other animals too. When I was doing rescue work, we chased a dog for three days that had his head stuck in a jar. Set several live traps but jar or no jar he ran from anyone trying to help him. Finally did succeed in catching him and removing the jar. The poor dog was so exhausted and dehydrated he spent several days at the vet office getting IV’s. I was just glad we finally caught him.

That looks to be a very thin bear, and maybe it had not eaten for a while. Poor bear.

The bear had lost weight which concerned the wildlife officials.
