Are you living the good life or do you have hopes of it somewhere in the future?

Is your life exactly what you want right now? What are your hopes and dreams for the future? Costa Rica has a saying that you see all over that country "Pura Vida" which means pure life, which translates best to me as "The good life". So are you living "The Good Life?"

Yes, I am living the good life right now. It is what I want and at this time cannot see any reason to change it. My hopes and dreams for the future as that our son will meet some nice lady and settle down. If I ever have any grandchildren I hope and dream they are happy and healthy and that I can spend a lot of time with them.
More money will not buy us happiness, so we should look at being content with what we have and anything more we gain is a bonus. :)

Well, overall, I am quite Happy with my life and where it is now. I know there are things that I would Love to change and things I hope to accomplish for myself in the future, but I know where I am today is because of what I have done in my past.

I guess I'm living about as good as it gets. I'm sure there are a lot of people in the world who would trade their lives for mine even though I don't feel very happy about it myself. I've always wanted to do something in my life that would help a large portion of mankind, but I still haven't figured out what that might be. Until I do, I'll be always hoping that that "better life" will happen.

Sometimes we are helping mankind and we might not even know it. For example, if you are a teacher you might be teaching someone that can make a major difference for mankind, but would not have done this had he/she not had you to influence them in their young life. You don't always know what difference you are making. I used to always hope for a "better life." But one day it dawned on me that this is my life and it is what it is, and it is up to me whether I am happy about it or not. I can chose to be happy now, or I can chose to continue waiting for some mythical future of bliss. There are things in my life now that I could be very unhappy about and I do have those moments because I am human, but I chose not to let it control whether I am happy or not.

No my life is not exactly what I want or dream for. I have had a VERY good life, but every year things change. Now that my son is grown and gone far away I find myself wanting to become a self-made millionaire and travel all over the world.
I am ok with my life right now but I have always wanted and strived for more. The birth of my son was one of my lifelong dreams so that part has been fulfilled. That took 18 years of living and doing for him, now it is time for me to do something for myself.

I think there are always some things in our lives that aren't exactly as we would have planned. I know things in my life haven't gone exactly as I would have wanted it but someone said that if life gives you lemons, make lemonade. So that is what I try to do, make the best of it and be happy. Being a millionaire would be nice, especially travelling the world part. I have seen just a little of this vast world of ours and from what I have seen, there is always a beautiful part and always an ugly part--the yin and the yang. I think our lives are that way too--there is the yin and the yang.
