God is specific! Not only specific, but so very patient! When we pray, we usually ask for God’s blessings to poor out on us, and he gladly does this for us. Sometimes we do not always show our gratitude the way we should and God patiently waits for us to acknowledge what He has done. Usually the realization comes when we least expect it.
This last week and on into the weekend, I had been doing the things that I wanted to do, and God let me without a peep. I didn’t read every single day but I did think and meditate on His word from things that I had learned throughout my time at Northwood. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks on Monday night! I had taken a small temp job delivering phone books and I had spent as much time as I could in the daylight hours from Thursday to Monday to get my route done. I had had a very rough Monday to begin with and I was very grouchy. I finally finished my entire route! It was 4:30pm and I was standing in my kitchen looking at the mountain of dishes, just wishing that I could make them all disappear, when it suddenly hit me! “This is how my husband feels when he comes home and sees what a disaster this house looks like every day!” WOW!!! I felt so hurt and ashamed! I had been praying that God would allow me to stay home to take care of the house and our daughter and I hadn’t been keeping up my end of the bargain. God was faithful to the very detail and I had totally missed what I had received from Him.
I have been reading the old devotional and today’s reading was from Ezekiel 42:1-43:27. at first I had just skimmed this reading because it had to do with measuring the Lord’s temple and told how big it was and how perfectly it was build and constructed. And then the sacrifices toward the 43 chapter caught my attention. This is still the old testament! Before Jesus! The jews had to burn sacrifices in order to live by God’s Laws and to even be forgiven! Can you imagine what this world would be like if we had to sacrifice an animal every time we sinned? There would be no animals left on the face of this planet! People would be sacrificing animals every second of every hour, day, month, and year! But we are not in the old testament any more! Jesus came and gave us a new way of forgiveness! The cross! We must take everything to the cross! Even the things that we don’t know about. I didn’t realize that I had been sinning until I was standing in front of my sink! I did a MAJOR double take on my whole house! I May not have a dryer for my clothes but I’m drying them the only other way I know how! It’s called a clothes line. I had never used one personally until now and I know that I will be so grateful when I finally get a dryer! I won’t feel like I’m wearing stiff cut out clothes anymore!
Now I can’t say that I have learned more than one way of skinning a cat, but I can say that God is teaching me a very big lesson! I need to learn to keep my end of the bargain too!

Nice statements what you gave. I came to similar conclusions from study of the New Revelation given by Jesus to his Austrian scribe Jakob Lorber between 1840 amd 1864. If you want to start reading this, you can find an entrance on www.j-lorber.com in English and also other languages. Stay blessed!
