Some symptoms are more commonly mentioned than others. you need to have a broad spectrum of symptoms although they do vary. some symptoms I have (other than the obvious) are:
vivid daydreaming/fantasising
talking outloud to self (as inner thoughts get muddled)
spelling words back to front
High I.Q and creativity
severe mood swings
frequent change of job/hobby/study
obsessive about a subject for a short period
Anxiety (often have a "pre-exam" feeling)
short temper
tiredness
sensitive to taste, noise, light and touch
forgets words/replaces with made up words
immature personality
dislikes authority, being told what to do & instructions
has trouble waking up in the morning
changes t.v/radio channels frequently
can't think of nothing... has white noise in head
tend to read peoples faces and tone of voice rather than whats being said. intuitive.
procrastinate.
always see projects as unfinished
poor self esteem
claustophobic
seem "ditsy"
there are lots more but I'm bored now!

It would take more than "a bit" of any of those things to be considered ADD/ADHD. If you truly have it, it will significantly impair your life.
