Dear sheetalmugalikar,
Let's see, for a 4 year old you can play matching games where you match 2 cards that match. To start tell her you are going to play the "Remember Game". First get an empty egg carton and decorate it with your daughter. Then tell her when she comes home from school she will earn a penny for each thing she can tell you that her teacher said that day. Let her place the pennies in each egg space in the egg carton, when the container is filled then she gets to pick a surprise. Fill a jar with pretzels, fruit snacks or anything she really likes. After the carton is filled empty it and start again. Then check with the teacher and find out what the weekly activities are so you know how to prompt her to get her to remember what happened at school that day. Start with simple things like we sat in a group, I hung up my jacket, what she ate for lunch. After she begins to understand how it works talk about actual activities that happened at school that day. Let her teacher know what you are doing so that she can reward and encourage her at school.
