The money that is used in research of cancer goes to the most popular named cancer but the rare cancer don't get much at all. My dad had cancer that was very rare and not much was know about it and because of it took the doctors 2 years to find it and by then it was in the late stages. But he lost the battle to the cancer 5 years ago this March. Wish they would put the money to better use to find a cure for all cancers.

It is frustrating to lose a loved one,but it hurts more when you watch them deteriorate like your father did over time.I hope you honor his memory in March and that all goes well.

billions of dollars doesn't mean a thng when it comes to something that can take over any part of your body and most of the cures we put this money into is wasted because we've all seen how these options work. most aren't effective after a certain amount of time and than theres chemo which i can't stand the idea of and if i were a doctor or someone researching such things i'd throw the whole f*ing thing out the window and say it was absolute craziness to continue with such a thing. and yes cancer can be beaten people do it, some keep it gone forever and sometimes it comes back ...but it can be beaten and maybe if we put those billions of dollars into some other options than we may have more of a chance to beat such an ugly diease
