No it is a source to gain knowledge. Sometimes it depends on the person how he is utilising. But i say its really helpful.

Yes, I considered it as Idiot box/Chatter Box. Coz all the day and evening mothers succummed to TV and ignoring children in many parts of the India. Practically I'm facing the problem very severely all the women folk in our area asking me to extend the school hours in order to facilitate them to see the soap operas as serials in the TV. They were complaining that children disturbing them, because children is in love with cartoon serials. This makes many houses as fighting grounds.

i don't think so...it depends on the viewer viewing it...if he watch some useful stuff ..then its not at all idiot box

To certain extend it is spoiling the house atmosphere. It is affecting the children's education.
