I think desktop is the best, it is much more cheaper and can be easily be modified with the lastest hardware yea

i prefer laptop we can carry them anywhere the only problem is that u have to shell out a hell lot of a money if u want a good 1 but now the laptop prices are gone down they have become reasonable

i prefer desktop because laptop is delicate we have to use it carefully but desktop we can use it as we like

i ll go for the desktop because i play lots of games and now a days games require more sophisticated and expensive peripherals. there are laptops which are powerful as desktops but more expensive than desktops. i cannot have that type of laptop for now so i ll go with the desktop.
