Hi,
It seems that many companies are banning the access to orkut. Does it really harm if the employee spends some time catching up with his/hers long lost friends?
Guess such sites should be allowed for an hour or so atleast..

People have been spending way too much time on orkut as it is getting really popular, which results in decreasing time for work but banning orkut is not solution as many other websites have come up for socialising

If I were to start my own company, I wouldn't ban access to any website... All that I would care about is whether my employee does his job in time... If not, I'l fire him(after giving a fair warning of course)...

yah orkut shouldnt be allowed at work , as it is an addictive site , if once we login , we can't logout easily ...

I think that the problem is that a lot of people spend most of the day on orkut, naturally companies don't want their employees to spend all day online.
