I rate Richards very much over Brian Lara.
If you remember those Richards' day's, all those firey bowlers, no sophisticated technologies to help the batsmen, but yet there was some authentic destruction in richards batting, when ever espn or starsports telecast those recordings, I just stick on the TV.

Yes...here i have to agree with you as i also rate Richards as my all time best but, lara is not far behind ...isn't it? lara seems to be in his life time best form now and if he continues like this, then he will definitely overtake richards one day....
Anyway's, thanks for your comments

Ye truly said, but if you closely observe Lara's career and Sir Vivian Richard's career, Richards was in great devastating for more number of years than Lara.
Well, may be if Lara continues to be in this form for two more years, may be comes close to Sir Vivian
Gives me a great pleasure when Md. Yousuf broke Vivian Richard's record last week, well records are meant to be broken, but this event brought up some thing before every one, it took close to 30 years for the record to be emulated, so obviously that is like a mark of richard's the then classic act:)
what say!?

Inzi is far behind Lara or Richards and definitely inzamam cannot be compared with these two greats for sure an di think you might be the only one here to give support to inzamam ul haq as thye worlds best and dominant player....isn't it?

Yes, Brian Lara is also my favourite....but, i don't think he has come to the level of viv richards now...maybe , in another 2 years from now on, if bRian Lara continues to be in the same form, will be the best batsman in the world for ever
Anyway's, thanks for responding

Brian Lara as of now is a great batsman and if he had continued for some more years, probably he would have become greatest batsman ever i believe. But, since he has retired now, Viv Richards is still the best batsman in the world of cricket for sure.
Anyways thanks for responding

Brian Lara and Richards are class themselves, there is no comparison, take Sir Garry Sobers, every body did their best for the game.We appreciate for their benevolent efforts.

Yes, i also agree with you that both are class acts and really cannot be compared to each other butstill feel that Brian Lara would have had an edge over Viv if he had continued for some more years..but not sure..just a view

I'm more towards Brain Lara. Because of his physique, his concentration on longer innings and variety of strokes makes me more inclined towards him. On the otherhand Richards has Great Body(physical) and good sight too. His wrist itself has a great power. But at his times bowlers are used to bowl pace only. Nowadays they can swing it more making it difficult for the batsman to bat. He is very agile but short tempered man. Can't bat for more than a day. But Lara can stay at crease days together.

I agree with you to some extent .......
To tell you, i myself an great fan of Brian Lara.No one play's like him in today's cricket and i also have a doubt that he might break everybody's record before retiring. but, have you seen richards batting anytime? even , i haven't seen him bat but i have seen some of his recorded innings and i think he play's little more aggressively than lara and as of now, he stands alltime great for me...but, in coming day's if lara still continues playing like this, he will be my all time best for sure...
Anyway's, thanks for your comments

Ok....so, you rate Brian Lara on the top.No doubt that Lara is the best batsman in present time.....but, i think we have to give him amother 2 years or so to put him on the top of all time greats....don't you think so? as far as i am concerned, both are my favourites and viv holds an edge over Lara for now and Lara might overtake him in another 2 years..let us see in coming day's....
Anyway's, thanks for your response
