Dowry is considered to be bad.Would you accept that in your marriage?

No ,not at any cost,It is not only a burden on parents of girl but also a great killer in the society.people who accepts must also be prosecuted.

Wht not. Dowery is the bride's share.We can easily accept it if it is given by the parents. Do not argue for dowry.

this is a tricky question...i wont demand for dowry..but if my wifes parents is giving her something..i wont say no!
but certainly i will not accept something he is registering in my name and not in his daughters name!..cos i dont want to live with the cash my father-in-law gave me..thats so cheap!

Even I dont accept dowry and never ask for that. But, in India, we get some house hold goods as gift for the bride from her parents. We have to accept it as a gift not as a dowry. Dowry in real sense is demanding and receiving money to marry a girl before the marriage. This is some kind of bribe to marry a girl. Accepting dowry is not a good way to start a happy married life.

We don't have dowries in our culture or society and I think a woman already brings much to a marriage which no amount of money can cover.
