My son Stutters

My eight year old son is showing the first signs of stuttering. Is there any remedy out there that works that could stop it before it progresses any further? My husband stutters and so unless it is genetic, I would like to stop it in its early stages. He used to speak clearly but I have noticed the stutter just recently. He is becoming self consious about it and it is affecting his social life. Please help.

one thing you can do is to enrol him in enrichment programmes such as those that will boost his confidence. usually stuttering occurs when you think ahead of what you intend to speak.
