coflict between cultures

it's a very strong issue nowadays. especially since september 11, but not just since then. it is important to aknowlegde the other beliefs, the other religions, the other ways of life, so much different than yours. the european union has an interesting slogan: "unity through diversity". well think a little about this, and share your opinions.

unity through diversity is a great idea as long as all participants accept it the problem the world has today is the intollerence of islam to any diversity what so ever

yes, you might be right with islam. but the so called "civilised" world could also leave the islam world be,and mind it's own businesses somewhere else. we cannot force somebody to have dialogue with us what so ever, but we can show that we are open to such a dialogue and wait for the other part to join...or?
