I hear people say their spouses are their best friend. Do you feel this way?

I do feel like it's true in my case. We spend so much time together, work together around the house, and laugh together. We even squabble sometimes, like best friends do sometimes. I still have female friends, and it's good to have a support system outside of marriage too, but I really do consider my husband my best friend.

Yes I do. We've been married almost 23 years. We've had our ups and downs, but overall have been there for each other. One piece of advice I definitely want to pass on is don't let the kids come between you. If one of the kids asks to do something make sure you discuss it with your spouse first. Kids will try to get their way from one parent or the other. It nips in the bud real fast when you make sure the kids know you two are going to talk about it!

That is so true. Hubby and I don't always agree on things with the kids and they can see that and will push it.

My husband and I have disagreed over things with the kids too. We learned to have our discussions behind closed doors where the kids could not see or hear us. It did help because it showed us as united in front of the kids.

Well, I'm not married to him, but I live with him, he's my partner, my soulmate AND my best friend. I've known him for almost 15 years and lived with him for 14, we've been together since I was 18 so that's why I think we're best friends, because he knows me better than anyone else does.

Hello. I do feel this way now. I didn't even think about friends in the beginning. I hate to say it, but, in the beginning, it was pure attraction and lust. It has been sixteen years and I have to say, I am married to my best friend.

I am not yet married, but I wish I marry my best friend. we make great couple, but there are so many problems between us If any body is rsponding YES here, they are the luckiest couples in this world. There are two ways, a couple can make to be a great one. 1. marry your best friend 2. or make her/him the best friend after marriage :)
