Have you written poems about life that you would like to share? It could be morbid or funny, philosophical or practical...no matter what style it is, if it is about life, do feel free to share here. This here, is one of my own...short like most of my writing... Life comes a full circle In the bat of an eyelid A co-existence of life and death Is each heartbeat.

Here is one of my Mine. If you want to pass it on please post a link to your thread or my page, thanks. http://dnatureofdtrain.freeservers.com/themeaningoflife.html The Meaning of Life - by DNatureofDTrain Why we here?; What should we do? The meaning of life, is both false and true. It is a journey and also a test, to see if we perform our very best. Whether the journey is to serve the divine, or just do your best to serve mankind. We all live, and we all die, we search for the truth in a pile of lies. Life may be a curse that we must endure, but, to make the best out of it is the real cure. Throughout our lives we will have losses and gains, and will have to accept the pleasures and pains. Just rememeber while we all live, each and everyone of us has something to give. Some give their abilities through works of art, While others contribute their scientific part. We all have a calling and truthfully know, How we will live, and come as we go. The meaning of life is both good and bad, The moments endured are both glad and sad. For each individual contributes their way, Whether they are "normal" or "gone astray". Each of us have a very bright light, that will help us throughout the long pitch of night. The meanings of life are both false and true, but the Real Meaning of Life is Found within you. here a poem about my mom the one who gave me life I look back on these years To see how far I've come and grown, I take a trip down memory lane, And what I see has shown ... That every step I've taken, You have been there by my side ... From infancy to adulthood, We've stood the test of time. You cradled me and nurtured me, Through all these many years; You held me and did comfort me, Through happiness and tear Your constant care and loving, And your warm inviting heart, Has always been a treasure that I knew would never depart. A woman whose most gentle soul, Embraces me each day ... A woman whom I dearly love, Much more than words can say.

Having lost my father to a heart condition three years ago, I completely relate to your poem. Dad was all that you have described your mother as, and more to me. Thanks for sharing this here. You just made my day :-)

The Tower To measure would mean emphasis be upon time between point a to b For what all emphasis I do know an importance placed on significance show Indicative upon my heart with each beat the timepeices no choice but to accept defeat For Love is a tower on a foundation of trust a fortress..a stronghold of truth that can't rust But measure I can the height of this tower from time alone thus gains it's power So upon you I do look to see reflection be within your eyes that special part of me And may the tower stand despite all it shall encounter from this second forth upon each falling hour And measure I may from this day forth more awe of it's existence than the duration it's worth.. ~August, 2005

Life No Fair, No time Get used to it I want to be a part of them But I don't fit When's my time to fly high Don't ask me, you know the reason why Come on, let me get through The plane is gone, it already flew Come on listen to me, it's my time to shine Who's to say whether it's your's or mine's I'm what you want, look at me Sorry, that position isn't free No more, you can not put me down I was wonderin' When you'd come around
