i think naming the babies should be left to the mother. some guys out there can be a little crazy when naming their kids. like my friend's husband wanted to name their first child as cornelius. he said it's unique and cool. hahaha

i think naming a baby shud be a mutual decison and after having inputs frm all the close relatives the best name shud be picked up, ofcourse if not religious boundations.

Hey, good question. When I was baptising my son. Everyone had a name and not picking one would mean an insult to the person as everyone thought their name was the perfect one. So I just nodded to every name and when the pastor asked me the name at the alter........I said Donovan (a name I had decided before he was born). Even My wife was surprised....and just giggled.

nice question.we name babies to give them a separate identity. in a nuclear family, a baby is named by his/her parents but in a joint family, this privelige is mostly given to grand parents.they r too excited for the same. they feel respected. but sometimes parents r willing to name their baby but r forced to name the baby which is choosen by the grandparents. i think today ppl prefer 1 child. they have to fulfil all their dreams from them only. they have lot of excitement for everything. i think child shud be named by the parents itself but if they wish, they can give this opportunity to anyone else.it depends on the parents.

I think the naming of a baby should be a joint decision of the father and mother. It's entirely up to them, in my opinion. It's what my wife and I did.
