what is difference between faith and belief?

I do hope you are a christian so that i'll be sure you will understand me clearly.
Faith in it's simple meaning is define in Heb 11vs1 as the substance of things hoped for but in a layman's language faith is believing what God says in his word and acting based on it even when there are no physical results yet.
For instance if someone has headache, you search the scriptures and look for the word of God that talks about healing confess it believe it and move on even when physically you are still feeling the headache you believe God had healed you and you move on not behaving like some that has headache ... this is FAITH.
But belief are lists of do's' and dont's' what you stand for the basics of an institution. There are pillars that christianity for instance is founded on e.g That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that GOD + JESUS CHRIST + HOLY SPIRIT = 1 these are beliefs and it ranges and differs from one religion to another.
So Faith is completely different Belief
