Selecting the Indian team is perhaps the hardest job in test cricket because of the sheer volume of players to choose from. It would be thought to be logical to break this down in some way however the zonal system only breeds favouritism and doesnt always allow players to get their just rewards. I think the only way to ensure the best are picked regardless of zone is to have foreign selectors who come from outside and have no agenda!
It is a radical idea but one I feel is needed! What you all think?

o, I think the zonal ystem is perfect. We need persons of test cricket experience like Vengsarkar, not spineless people liek Kiran more who really did not have much of a contribution and Greg selected by proxy. Now the selctions arebettr. Raju and Vengsarkar have go good experience. We just need ot replace the rest with those with experience.
