Do you clean out your closet?

i don't do that very often! I have a lot of clothes i don't really use anymore! But i don't throw it out! It just stays in my closet! hehe

They say if you haven't used it in a year, toss it out. I am a packrat! I still have my childrens' baby clothes. My grand plan was to give them to them as they announced a pregnancy. My first grandchild was a boy. His mother's dresses of course were not appropriate for a boy. My second grandson wears his father's baby clothes. I still have the clothes for 3 other children sitting in storage. My husband is a fanatic for cleaning. He would love nothing more than to hear me say "toss it all". He would be in that closet quicker than a lightning strike. I do go into the closets once a year and rearrange and maybe toss a few things out. It is hard to let go of the past.

I clean them out twice a year. In the summer and in the winter. I go through and see what the kids have out grown and what I need to buy more of.

yeah i do and do it regularly.it is a good habit.

I clean out my closet at least a couple of times a year. Usually whenever the seasons change, I will look through my clothes and see what I have that will work well for the upcoming season, and decide if I need new clothes. I will also pull out things that I don't wear often, and normally donate those to GoodWill. It also gives me a chance to see if there are things that I need to repair, like shirts that have lost buttons.

Every once in awhile I go through our closets and donate the things we don't wear to goodwill. If there is something of my kids that will fit some one we know I pass it on to them. No matter how often I clean out the closets they always seem to be a mess becasue we only have 2 closets in our house.

I have been meaning to do it for so long. Now its such a huge task that I am avoiding it like anything.With my 6 month old and working on mylot I hardly get anytime to get around doing that.I hate myself for that.My brother heard this and has sent me a link for this website to encourage me do that,still its pending.Anyone in the same boat go here and get motivated. ;-P http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm

Yes I definately clean ourt my closet at least once or twice a year. I get rid of things that don't fit me and winter clothes in summer etc. I also do the same with my childrens drawers as they grow out of things. Goodwill shops get heaps from us.

Oh yes I know what you mean. I do a couple times a year. I have to because our closet is small and I have to share it with my husband.LOL This house doesnt have many closets at all.

yes and i am always amazed with what i find in there! Old junk i forgotten about or stuff i've been searching all year for! LOL its crazy!

I don't clean out my closet on any sort of schedule. I clean it out a little at a time whenever the mood strikes. When I sort through things, I usually list them on FreeCycle, and try to give them away to fellow FreeCyclers first. Anything that isn't taken can be donated to one of the local churches that gives clothing and other items to the needy or to the local thrift store.

I clean my closet from time to time when im free. Also when im buying clothes alot that's the time i check my stuff to see if there's pieces of clothing i don't use anymore or out of style and sell it online or give it to my sister but i prefer selling it hehehe

I claen out my closet at least once a season and let my sons have old thing of mine or give them away to charity and throw away things that are no longer wearable.

haha..I can't even remember when the last time was that I actually took the time to clean out my closet. I will be in the process of moving soon, so I guess I will have no choice then.

When I came back from college, I noticed... the closet in my room is gone. How am I to clean it?
