what is your point of view about donating stem cell?

this has been one of the most issue here in the Philippines as well as aborad wspecially states. Many doctors are encouraging pregnant soon to be mothers to donate there stem cells. from what i understand stem cells came from the indside the umbilical chord. stem cells can dramatically help in curing cancer and other diseases. but some people are against this activity of donating stemcell.
if you were to ask to donate would you do it? knowing the fact that it can help other people.

Well, I'm pretty biased here because I have a spinal condition that could only be reversed using stem cell technology. So I'm very much for people donating stem cells to the cause of medicine. I'd like to be able to run again. I'd like to be able to stand up without blinding pain. I'd like to be able to pick up my neice, or my puppy. I'd like to be able to walk without needing help. And I can't do that without the benefit of stem cell research.

i hope you could do that again. you seems to be adventurous. so i supposed if you were be able to donate, you will donate inspite of all the moralist protest.
if i were to ask to i'd be gladly to do it cause i might be able to help others and bring difference to their lives.

I would definitely donate, and urge friends to do so as well. I know there are moral protests but the simple solution is: those who are morally opposed don't have to donate.

yeah better have information about this topic. stem cells can really brings big difference it the live of lots of people. ihopee more members will give us some info and thoughts abotu this.

i hope anyone will have their opinion on this matter. ok i'll post some information regading thi stem cell. basically these are living tissue that can only be get at the pregnant womens. these cells will b very helpful in rejuvinting ne cells that are destroyed by certain diesease. i'll search more about this topic to back it up and also lots of people will be informed. thanks.
