It depends. An average American male who spends most of his time in front of a screen playing video games will probably not be better at cooking than a girl who cooks dinner for her family every night. While on the other hand a male who enjoys cooking and does it often would be better than a female who can't stand being in a kitchen for that long. But it has been psychologically proven that girls are better at everything than guys, except when it comes to problem solving(David G. Myers "Psychology Eigth Edition in Modules" Page #461).

It really depends. I am male and my cooking is good.
