To me Education in India is at worse stage. They are teaching for examination orientation only. Nothing to do with the genaral improvement of the pupil. Kindly see the recent issue of the INDIA TODAY magazine high lighted the same topic as centre topic.

I've been christian all my life, I even went to a christian school when I was younger. I became methodist when I turned 12, and Im not sure, this is the only thing I ever researched!

Well I cant say for sure but yes with the advent of new technologies the relevance of knowledge has gone down. Education is not being imparted with the sa,e zeal it was some years back and moreover the kids today seem to have so many things to distract them away from Studies that Education has detoriated.

I think the standard of education has increased Here in INdia. Most of the students who passout from college go for higher studies and they get lucrative offers from countries all oveer the world. i think the standars of education has improved from what it was 15-20 years back. I do not know how it was 20 years back but I have heard older people say that the standard of education was bad, dropout rates were high and employability was low. Now i see a significant drop in dropout rates and rise in employobility. This is the situation in India.
Would like to know about other countries.
Cheers
