The Goverment have just release a report saying that the only way that fuel emmissions, traffic jams etc are going to be cut is by charging motorist per mile they drive ( this will raise an estimated 28billion per year) . I believe that this just another way for the goverment to reclaim money thats as been lost through our terrible immigration and asylum system and fighting in wars thats are not ours to fight.
I would appriciate peoples opinion on this.

This is just another excuse for the government to tax us more and interfere more in our daily lives. As usual, the motorist is the soft target. I am not saying we shouldnt improve public transport but come on - we would be a lot worse off economically and socially without the car. Let's hope public opinion can make a difference although it didn't with the poll tax, sorry TV licence!

I don't believe that is a good decision, because fuel is not only used by motorists oly, so emmissions come from many diferent paces too, from factories, farms, and much more. I believe that governements should sharge a certain tax on the fuel, but not only motorists cause jams, a bicyle may cause jam also. So Governements should regulate the streets use and not the milage use.
