Hello everyone! My husband and I are unable to have children naturall, but desperatley want children. We have researched adoption and surrogacy a bit, but all the options seem so expensive it is very discouraging. Does anyone have any information on where to find funding for this sort of thing, or how to make it affordable? Thanks in advance!

Adoption is extremely expensive. However, if you are Catholic, and there is a Catholic Charities in your area, you can adopt for a pittance compared to other adoptions. Anyone can TRY to adopt via Catholic Charities but, if you are not Catholic, you will be charged and exhorbitant fee and you will only get a child if the mother specifies that she does not want her child raised Catholic. So, in the end, if you are not Catholic, your chances are next to nil via Catholic Charities.
I suggest you check into some foreign adoptions...if you haven't already. You will pay a high fee but still usually cheaper than you pay in the U.S. and you will not wait 10 years...which is the average wait in the U.S. The average time period for a foreign adoption is 18 months to 2 years. Your only option for payment might be to get a loan...that is how many people do it. (I've adopted in the U.S. and waited about 10 years. My friend and I applied to adopt at the same time. She adopted foreign and got her first child in 2 years and then since she went through the same agency again, got her second in 8 months...while I waited many, many more years.)
