Binge Eating While on Sleep Medication - Midnight Munchies - Funny or Scary?

Have you guys heard about people binge eating during the middle of the night while on Ambien (Ambien is a common sleep medication). I've read stories of people gaining tons of wait and not even knowing how it's happening. They wake up with crumbs or wrappers left out in their kitchen and have no idea how they got there. Other times their spouse will see them get up in the middle of the night, go to the refrigerator, and start pigging out. Personally I think its kind of funny. At the same time though, it's kind of scary. Just imagine getting up in the middle of the night for a midnight snack of about 2000 calories and then not even remembering it...
