Is this small town narrow minded?

So, here's a huge discussion I run into when hanging out with people from small towns. City people vs. small town people. I always here about how city people are stuck up, snooty, selfish and so on. Coming from my experience, have lived in both a small town and currently live in a large city, find this to not necessarily be true. Small town people tend to be more narrow minded and label everything/everyone outside there area and comfort zone. This can tend to make them stuck up, snooty and so on. Being in a large city, your constantly around new faces, and situtaions, thus making people more open minded and less snotty, stuck up, etc to new people/situtaions. Do you agree or am I not seeing the whole picture?
