What happened to the good old chat places, where you walked in and could just chat? Been out of the net thing for a while and yip technology sure has bypassed me... anyone out there who can educate me... have like a zillion question. I know once I cotton on it'll be fun

You can still get to chat rooms, but many of the providers have merged them into messenger programs. I know Yahoo, for example, has done this. You need to sign in to Yahoo messenger then select the option from the tool bar. I think MSN has done the same.
Is there a particular chat room you are looking for?

There are chat rooms out there still, I don't think I would consider mylot to be a chat room.

when i first got AOL back in 1995...chatting was the only thing to i did...grew out of it around 1998...im guessing those old chatrooms still exist somewhere...myLot is kinda like a newer cooler chatroom...
