Would you drink re-cycled water?
Australia doesn't yet have recycled water, but many areas are fast running out of water supplies. I believe recycled water, properly done, would be fit for drinking, but at the very least could be used in industry. I know England and other countries have been drinking recycled water for years. What is your experience in this area?

Thanks Gabs but I think it will take much time. They want to build more dams, but if our present dams are nearly empty, what is the use of more?

I have been told that London water is recycled 11 times, but moves to implement it here, even in places where water is running out very quickly, have been marked with horror and turned down in a referendum.
I believe we MUST introduce recycling plants, along with desalination, or we will all suffer. Government subsidies for installing rain water tanks will help - but only God can send the rain, and He seems to be left out of any reasoning.
Thanks for sharing.

I can surely drink recycled water provided it is processed efficiently. One day in the future all of us will have to live on recycled water.

Recycled water ... Ewe ... The thought of it makes my skin crawl even. There is no way I would consider drinking anything like this. I am now Type 1 Diabetic due to other Health issues and concerns, and there is no way I would even trust something like this going in my body. This to me does not sound Healthy, and I am really hoping that this is something that is never considered here in the United States.

The idea just creeps me out completely!
How do they recycle it? From where? Is it mixed with... pee and stuff?
I have also heard about countries which do it - I wouldn't drink tap water in Paris if you paid me :P

Thanks contentwriter. I have been told that the water in London is recycled eleven times! Yes, it is recycled from all water drainage, including effluent. The way water supply is diminishing the only alternatives will be recycled water of desalinisation. While I prefer the idea of desalinisation, it is costly and has its own drawbacks. I do not think for one moment the water we now use is pure.

I'm usually also drink recyled water, from my country water threadment process plus boiling it first and filtering using mineral water filter.
Actually I'm more choose fresh water compare to those type of water (recyled water), but pricing makes me must use recyled water.
