They say we all turn into our mothers when we have kids

What made you realize that they were right and you had turned into your mother? I will say it was when I was getting my kids out of the car at the store realized they had something on her face and wiped it off with my finger that I had stuck in my mouth. Basically as my mother called it a spit bath. Reality hit right then and I realized they were right. How about you?

I pray that I don't turn into my mother. She wasn't the best influence and thankfully my father got me and my brother out of that situation. If anything I turned out the exact opposite of her and am thankful for it.

Thats great. I know my mother wasn't always the best influence but I still catch myself doing stupid little things she did. And saying things she did. You might find that you do little things your father does that annoyed you as a kid.

Sometimes I feel proud when I do things my mother used to, or still does. Sometimes I secretly, or not so secretly hate myself for doing things I never thought I would that she does. I think we can't help it really, as concious as we try to be of things....

I actually see more of my father in me like things I'll say when I have to reprimand my children.
