Anyone else here familiar with the Grunge band Soundgarden? Soundgarden was a seminal Seattle rock band who helped to define the sound that came to be called grunge. They are considered one of the 'big four' Seattle bands of the era, along with Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam. In 1995, the band's history was the theme of the book New Metal Crown, by rock journalist Chris Nickson. In 1997, the band broke-up due to internal strife over their creative direction.

I like Soundgarden. They're not my favorite band or anything. They weren't even my favorite grunge band (they were my second favorite behind Pearl Jam) but I still really liked them. I love Chris Cornell's voice. Temple of the Dog was one of the best albums to come out of the 90s

Soundgarden - Soundgarden
I am an Australian & I am glad to say yes i am very familiar with Soundgarden. I have all of their albums. I also am into the other big 3 you mentioned in a big way still to this day. The formation of the SUPERGROUP-AUDIOSLAVE certainly excited me & took me back to that Grungy Hard rock era.

To this day, they are one of my favorite bands. I own all of their recordings. I think they are one of the most influential bands ever to come out of the 90's.

Soundgarden is great! To bad they aren't a band anymore, but audioslave is great too (the lead of soundgarden is the lead singer of audioslave, too) Most of the rock bands that emerged in the early to mid-90's are great. Including peral jam, etc..

Yes, more than familiar...I love this stuff. Also into the Big Four that you mentioned. I am still enjoying this music, even all these years later.
