Do you use alternative methods to treat your child's ADHD?

My son, who is 6, was recently diagnosed with ADHD. His doctor prescribed Focalin for him to take but I have seen the adverse reaction in the form of tics on another child and this has scared me off of the drug. I am currently using Herbal treatments wich work a little. What do you think about alternative methods?

My husband and I both suffer from ADHD and use alternative medicine to treat it. All we take is fish oil, or you can take flax seed oil. More then likely your son might also be eating a food additive that might be causeing the ADHD. Try taking your son off of MSG and see if this helps. I know that it really helps my husband and I. My husband and I do not take any regular medication for this condition.

Thank you. I've heard that before but I have not tried that. I will definitely try it now!!
