Do any famous people come your town and what do you know about them?

John Michael Montgomery has a house close to the town I live in.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes came here for a visit not too long ago. I didn't go because I wouldn't cross the street to see them, but there was a pretty good crowd according to the paper.

wow that is really cool.....I grew up around San Francisco and countless artists have come from that area.....

Dennis Franz lives here now after pretty much retiring. Patty Duke has lived here for as long as I can remember. There are supposedly other famous people around, but I have never seen them or heard about them personally.

Does campaigning count? If so, then President Bush and President Clinton both have been here, campaigning. Otherwise, lets see. JOhn Cougar Mellancamp, performed once. That's about it.

I live in stockport in the UK and from the area where I lived came the Dodges' the founders of the world famous Dodge City, The house they lived in is still used as a home and is something like 400 years old. Recently living dodges came to the UK to see their ancestral home. I think its called Haliday Hall.

Here is a partial list of famous people from my city: Gloria Steinem, Katie Holmes, Jamie Farr, Danny Thomas. Also the lady who wrote the Nancy Drew stories, her real name was Millie Bensen. I know there are more, I just can't think of their names right now.

Wyatt Earp is a real person? I thought he was a character. I met the man who played him, Hugh O'Brian, who is now a philanthropist supporting high school achievers. I live in a military city, though, so I'm sure there are a great many important people around, but I don't get to see them much.

Our town is small, but has had its fair share of movie star sightings. There have been a couple of movies shot on location here or nearby. Michael J Fox, Dom Deluise, Flea....just to name a few.

okay nobody laugh but celine dion comes from my town. here i think the only people who honestly like her music are older women (like 50 and older). the rest of us really dislike her. we think she is a hippocrite, just screams instead of SINGING, and in fact she is the favorite of montreal drag queens to impersonate!!! michel dorion is a famous drag queen qho gives his own concerts singing ONLY celine songs! ;) and honestly, i think mister dorion is prettier than the real celine ;)

ahaha I don't know anything. I live in capital city. I think all Indonesian artost live in my city. But I don;t know much about them. lol I only know few poeple ^^

Some important soccers player and actors are been born in my city. I task that they have been good and fortunate to become famous; I'm happy for they but I do not envy them. I am content of my normal life.
