You need to read the book "Cures They Don't Want You To Know about. Certain company's are putting things into the food to make you addicted and also to make you fat. Get the movie Super Size Me also. I wish you the best of luck.

Steroids can make you feel terrible and very hungry. The swelling will go away after you get off of the steroids. I also think I think some of it comes from hormones given to animals to make them fatter. We eat those animals along with the hormones. I think those same hormones make us eat more too. Afterall, how many fat vegetarians do you see? Try cutting back on meat and eat more veggies.

I am trying to loose around 25 pounds. Walking and cycling are the two changes I am making in my life style. I am taking lots of vegetable soups and this is helping me to cut off the junk foods. Next I am taking lots of vegetable juices and orange and lemon juices. I am trying to eat healthy food as possible. I am drinking curd water mixed with onion, ginger, white oinion, curry leaves, chilli(gandari chilly), etc known as sambaram in our place. I heard that this will help to dissolve the fat especially green chilly or gandari chilly. Increasing metabolism is the best way to decrease fat. On thing to increase metabolism is to drink honey lemon water in early morning, good sleep, good exercises, and less stress.

wow you are funny! i dont take steroids because i want to! i take prednisone because i have to for my illness! this causes hella unwanted weight gain and water retention. prednisone makes your body store fat in all the wrong places. i have to be careful with any extra meds that i take, lots of things make my disease act up...thanks very much for the info!

Being on steroids would be a loosing battle. Steroids are given to cattle to make them fatter for market. It's beyond understanding why the medical community can't come up with some other treatment. Try eating oatmeal with a little brown sugar for breakfast and lunch. It's full of fiber, low in calories, and can help make you fill full. Wishing you well.

I can sympathise with you, I am in the same situation as yourself with fighting a weight problem due to the steroids, before the DRs started wme with steroids I used to be very thin, now I am well over weight and no matter what I seem to do it dont seem to be working. If you find something that helps please let me know I would love to shed some of the weight that the steroids have made me gain too!
