Do you have any Christmas traditions that don't cost a lot of money? This year I am so broke, so I am trying to come up with other ways to make the holiday fun. I know that just spending time with my family is the most important thing, but I want it to be special in other ways.

We've always had a tradition of making a gingerbread house every year, they aren't too expensive. If you have too many people to work on just one house, then why not make a gingerbread house street lol..with a few houses :) Hang in there and enjoy your Christmas..

What a great idea, and very traditional! My kids are also very competitive (they're grown, but still kids!), so maybe we'll have a gingerbread making talent show!

Caroling - Caroling on Christmas eve...
I agree with both of the above comments, going to see the lights and gingerbread houses. Baking cookies and stringing popcorn and cranberries is also fun and festive. Caroling is also excellent fun! I love it.

Look around on the internet and see if there are any fantastic Christmas lights set-ups around. We had one by us in New Jersey, and it was always fun to go see it with friends and family.
