she recently said, "Don't fear the terrorists, they are mothers and fathers." She should have been on one of those aircraft the terrorists flew into the twin towers. She could have comforted the mother and fathers that were sitting with their innocent little children flying to their death. How horrific! She is a low life.

I think her point was that even though we're at war, not everyone on the other side is some soulless monster. There are real, live, human beings over there. And some of the so-called terrorists - let's face it, a lot of Americans are quick to use the terrorist label - are just desperate people who feel like they have to do something to ensure their family's future.
She definitely could have phrased her statement better, but I understand the sentiments behind it. There are people on every side of a war, and too often we forget that we're fighting other *people*.
