I love peaches, why can't I find a decent peach up north?

Fresh peaches are one of my favorite fruits. My kids and myself love to eat them as snacks and with ice cream. Since moving to Michigan it is very hard to find decent peaches. Heck its hard to find decent produce period. Even apples, and apples are grown here!Why? I just really would like to know why. I've tried every grocery store and every fruit market, but all the produce is just awful! Especially green peppers, peaches and strawberries. I can't figure out why this is.

I live in lower Michigan and I agree with you. It's few and far between to find good fruit and veggies but fruit markets are the best or try an orchard

Also the fruit stands on the side of the road sometimes you can find a really good one

Easter Island - Easter Island- On my list of places to visit and discover the secrets of.
I'm also in lower michigan! I've tried the fruit markets and orchards, but even from there it may look good, but it goes bad SO FAST- within like hours sometimes! I kind of give-up. I'd like to start a garden, but i'd have to buy a farm to grow everything I want! lol I've added you as a friend, I hope you accept:)

Why do you like peaches? I don't quite like them myself. They don't taste any special to me. Then again, I seldom eat fruits anyway.

I like peaches because they are sweet and juicy! You can eat them and let the juice run down your chin, then jump in the pool. yaya Ahh...childhood memories... I miss being a kid sometimes! You should eat fruit everyday, it's good for you dangit.

I see where you coming from I live in the south so thats like not being able to find fresh seafood,I lived in the North all my life tho and can tell you its always been that way who knows why tho, just is I guess

I don't know why it's like this either, it doesn't make any sense because even the apples are kind of gross here, and they GROW them in MI!
