I have traveled all over the place and have a lot of beautiful photos of flowers, ruins, foggy themes, water photos etc and wish to turn these into cards to see if i can start an online business, what advice can you give me, i am only on unemployment so i need to start up for as little cost to myself as possible.

first thing to do is find a place that will print your cards at the price and terms youre willing to pay...printing things in small quantities can be expensive, and overprinting can be a huge waste...

You can have a website built for you as little as 200 dollars. The only thing is; it'll be a template,, kinda cookie cutted to fit your needs. You're going to pay per page,, IE profile= one page etc.. if you're doing an online business you'll need a way to pay,, ie: shopping cart, paypal functions,, etc. check out my friends website,, she is a designer and had this done for her,, it costs a couple thousand to build but a lot of the expense was the photographer. Obviously you won't have that expense.. www.stuffbykate.com Check out craigslist in your area,, computer service section and call different website developers, designers, and hosting services.. Sometimes they do it all. I work for a computer company www.node11.com but we're really catered and pricy, however do very high end, marketable work. Price it out,, let me know what you can find! ~MyKe~

I hope -all- of the expense was the photographer. Attractive site granted, yet not worth alone to hit the thousand mark.

Definitely not expensive, I was referring to my friend's website www.stuffbykate.com , the photo website was an idea to market his photos as a sell by print rather than cards. I like your example, that would be more marketable for sure.

I think the 1st thing you should do is your reaserch. Go to every websit you can and check them out. You will learn a lot by doing this. Find out about your competition. I like your idea.
