is it safe anymore.?.when i was growing up the whole neiborhood was into it...now the neiborhood is generally empty of children and lights are off at houses...
i know its only mid september, but if the stores can put out stuff for halloween already, we can talk about it here...

I allow my step-daughter to go out, but she must be supervised by us or another adult that is walking around with themn. I will tend to dress up and go along. I live in a friendly community, but there are alot of people who choose not to give candy out. My communtiy does a nice Halloween parade with a costume judging contest. They give treat bags to the kids, it is very nice.
When she trick or treats, we must inspect the candy before she can eat any. If the wrapping looks suspicious or torn, we throw it away. Same with anything homelmade or fruits. Sorry to waste food, but you just have to be safe these days!

i have one adopted daughter 11 yrs old . when she goes trick or treating it is in this neighborhood only and i or some grown up is with her. she will generally go to the firehouse where they have a big to do going on . I will throw all candies that are not sealed packed. I do believe that it is extremely un safe for the children.
