Renaming cities

There has been lot of renaming of indian cities is going on. The present is chaning the names given by Britishers. I think the name of India should be changed to "Bharat" or "Hindustan" Becuase the name India is given by Britishers. Is it right? Do you support my views?

I agree with your view, but I would prefer changing it to Bharat rather than Hindustan because it would again only denotes only particular religion which is not fair with a country like India which has a mixed bag of religions in it. Even though changing the names of cities and states without the consent of people is totally unagreeable.

I don't think that changing of names is not necessary.The feeling of oneness is necessary whether it is 'india' or 'bharat' or 'hindustan'.Our country is famous for Unity in Diversity,this feeling of unity doesn't depend on the name.
