The stunning size 12 model branded 'too fat' for TV competition

The woman on the left was branded as to fat for Britian's version of "Top Model" but the one on the right was accepted and even praised for being so underweight. With the recent three deaths of supermodels (from anorexia) how do you feel about this?

That model is beautiful! I'm really fed up with this trend of 'only stick thin is beautiful!' in modeling. I can understand it in fashion modeling because that's about the clothes and curvy models destroy the lines of the clothing. But for adverts and things like that, models do not have to be these sickening twigs. Women with some curve to them are gorgeous!

Notice the girl with curves has an awesome smile on her face and she looks amazing, gleeming and the anorexic one looks like shes going to cry, or vomit.

I noticed that too. The one on the left has a gleeming face and an awesome facial expression but the one on the right has a weird squinty face and she is just standing their awkwardly.
They also said the girl on the left...her thighs were to big. That wasn't the excat words, they said it even meaner but whatever. :-/
It's not right.

Real women are beautiful. The media glamourizes anorexia, so why are we surprised when so many people have this desease.
Has anyone else had the experience of going into a clothing store and seeing the lack of size 12 clothing? Either they aren't carrying this size, or most people wear this size and that's what they are buying. This really should be a signal to the clothing industry to make more of this size.

I wish that I cared but I don't. Being the public eye is an unforgiving mistress. You must conform or face exile. The fact they thought the women was too fat isn't all that surprising. She is far bigger than average models. Them praising the thin one for her tiny frame is a bit disturbing but not at all surprising.

Didn't you get the alert that copying and pasting other people's posts is against the Mylot rules and that steps will be taken against you if you copy and paste?

I have no clue. It was most likely a mistake on my part. and I apologize.
Is there anyway to change best response? If there is I would gladly change it.

I think thats so discusting. I think that the woman on the left is much prettier. I think in todays world, anyone who isnt a 0-3 is looked down upon which is really sad because with commercials for fast food and yummy food, how could you not give in?

It's extremely horrible how the world works. Did you see that Dove the evolution of beauty? Where the woman is transformed for a billboard cover into a supermodel after a lot of makeup, hairstyling, and lastly photoshopping? I look at my 8 mth old son and wonder how things will be when he gets older? Will there even be any normal looking people in magazines? Where I live I never see any people who are as skinny as models unless they are under 14. Most people are no less than a size 8 I would estimate. How can this ever end? It seems to have been going in the wrong direction for many years now with no turn around in site!

Fat the model on the left? She is simply a beautiful woman. On the right she is not a woman but simply a monster!

How can young girls in today's world not be bulimic or anorexic? I mean, did you see this?? The size 12 model is perfect! The other one looks like a zombie who just woke up from its tomb!! Like seriously, the people behind this skin & bones fashion are sick.

What she is fine! Like really she would be considered almost slim fine down south, Marilyn Monroe at her peak was a size 14/16 so...I think they are crazy!

On looks alone the woman on the left gets my vote. Let's delve into the personalities a bit shall we? Again the woman on the left would be much more desirable to me as an actual human being and not sacrificing her health just to win some stupid pageant.
I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with being thin but starving yourself to get there is just ridiculous. My girlfriend is a size 3 but she can eat more than me. Amazing how the human body works, isn't it?

Well, the woman on the right looks like she is sick to me and has lost weight due to some type of long term illness. The woman on the right looks healthy and active.

Hmmm...I like "fat" model on left side better. I do not like anorectic people. I posted similar discussion few days ago.It is going way to far, and for some reason industry is accepting all anorectic models.

being underweight with protruding bones is always a trademark of being a model.. this is how modeling industry works
