Like how old kids are you talking about? 6 and under tell them there's candy inside and you gotta eat your way to get it. Ummmmmm all age highers set up a reward system for every food they eat that you want them to eat. Recent studies show that associating things with a reward rather than a punishment (classical conditioning) inspires more.

When you have something different with your meal or something new to the child, tell them they have to eat one spoonful to try it.

first, i included my kids in planning and cooking the meals. we set up criteria as to what must be included in a well balanced meal. then they helped choose the items to include. one new item they'd never tried before had to be include once a week. we made a list of things we wanted to try and voted on which one to try each week. everyone had to offer an idea of something new to try, even mom and dad. then everyone had to try at least a tablespoon of the new item. if you didn't like it after you tried it you didn't have to ever eat it again. but you did have to try it once. it's easiest tho if you start when they are very young introducing new things, then they know they have to try them without argument because it's the only way they know life to be in your home. try it once, if you don't like it, ok, at least you gave it a shot. make it fun, not an anxiety laden mealtime. good luck. let us know how things fare for you. let us know what works and what doesn't.

If your children like cheese, add a little cheese to the vegtables. Sometimes then they will eat them.

The best thing I've found to do is to keep trying. Don't try and force your child to eat anything - it won't work! lol... I always give my son a really small portion of a bunch of different things and he chooses what he wants to eat when. It's worked well for me. After a few tries he usually ends up trying a piece of everything! Try it out!

if its vegetables...try integrating it with foods your kid loves...
for example put small pieces of brocoli on pizza...if he/she picks it off...say..."look how gooey that yummy cheese on the brocoli looks"...see if that works...

You can make the food into cute shapes. You can use cookie cutters to cut bread in to different shapes to make interesting sandwiches. You can have themed meals, like everything is orange, eat mac and cheese, carrots, oranges. If your child likes a book or movie or TV show that has a food in it you can make that food so They maybe more intersted in eating it. If you child likes the story Green eggs and ham, use food coloring to make the eggs green.
There are a lot of books that you can get for different recipes and food ideas. You could look at the library, I found lots of books there.
Good luck
