It is home to the most idolised sportsman in history - none other than Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

i dont think it is famous in the world i have never heard of this. is it a building or city? maybe u should make it famous really. i talked with my friends noone of them know about it, sorry..

hey..i am from the same city..i think Mumbai is know for its "Spirit" as all ways especially after the train blasts..in 2006 the things for which it is famous ,hum..many are there ,to list a few the beach,its roadside eateries,the vadapav ,Bollywood,BEST buses & local trains,home of famous cricketers,Tendulkar, Gavaskar etc.,the local cuisines..especially the fish and non-veg,Siddhivinayak temple,Stock exhange, Call centers ,many famous colleges and schools ,young and enthusiastic people, job opportunities, etc etc..i can go on on but..at the end of the day all i can say, its the best place to live!!!
