Incomplete Questions

Why do people post questions asking about movies or books or whatever, but then they don't mention that movie or book that they're talking about? They'll just say something like, "What do you think about this movie?" Some will post pictures or add the movie as one of their tags, but it still drives me nuts. Why not mention it in the stupid question??? Does this annoy anyone else or just me?

Maybe because they just dont want to be more very specific or maybe they just forget to mentioned what they are really trying to pinpoint.

I suppose, but you'd think they'd get more responses if they mentioned what they were talking about.

You don't think they are simply trying to increase the number of hits they get for their questions?. Personally I think trying to fish like that is a waiste of time as unless you've seen or read what they are referring to it's simply not relevant and hence I can't be bothered commenting. What I find frustrating is when you do actually want to know something and nobody responds......

Yeah, I agree. I'm sure they're trying to increase their ratings or whatever and make more money. I sometimes try not to respond, but sometimes, I just can't help it. And I, too, hate getting no responses to what I think it's a pretty decent and interesting question. I'll have to go through yours and see if I can answer any.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way. You could try writing myLot and asking them? They might do it for you.

That is a good question. Whenever I ask about a movie, I mention the title of the movie so people know what movie I am talking about. It doesn't make much sense to ask a question about a book or movie without giving its name or title. It can be very annoying.

I thought I was the only one who got annoyed by this. I think it may be partially because they post the question under a particular interest and they figure that the person was already looking for that topic anyway. I have The Shawshank Redemption as one of my interests and if I look for discussions under that topic I'd expect every discussion to be about it, even without it being said in the subject. But, people don't seem to think about those who just look for the discussions in the general area when you have no idea what's going to be posted.

Yeah, I think that might be it, too. But I posted this back before we chose which interest to post under. Well, I don't remember having that option, anyway. Maybe we did and I just didn't notice. Even if we did, though, I'm not sure it showed up as being posted under that interest. Know what I mean?
